If you find walking to be too tiring, you can choose the public transportation offered by the Municipal Transport Company (www.emtpalma.es), so you can enjoy the different touristic locations in the shortest time possible.

The simplest way of visiting the city is buying a special card which can be used on all lines for ten days. You can find a bus guide that contains the program and the prices of tickets on the Palma de Majorca Municipal Transport Company.

If you are in a hurry the best solution is the metro which gets from one end of the city to the other in 13 minutes. You can ride it beginning with 06.15 in the morning, first station being Spain Square and the last The Balearic Island University.

If you want to visit the city in a cab it is good to know that this way of transportation is available at any hour of day or night and you have to pay 1 euro per kilometer.

If you choose to get around Palma de Mallorca with you own car, you need to know that the city has 4500 parking spaces. They are marked with blue on the road bed and you must pay a parking tax for the time your car stays there. (no more than 90 minutes). You also need to know that there are no parking spaces in the historical center of the city so pedestrian can walk at their leisure.
